Warranty Policy — 5-Year Manufacturing Warranty + Material-Specific Corrosion Coverage

Dengtai provides a 5-year manufacturing defect warranty on all steel ladders, backed by our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and 22 years of manufacturing experience. Material-specific corrosion warranties extend coverage based on the material’s inherent corrosion resistance.

Manufacturing Defects (5 Years — All Products)

We warrant that our ladders are free from defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years from the date of shipment. This covers:

Structural weld failures — Cracks, incomplete penetration, or lack of fusion in load-bearing welds
Material defects — Steel grade non-conformance, inclusions, laminations, or substandard mechanical properties
Dimensional non-conformance — Product does not match the approved specification or drawing
Surface treatment application defects — Coating delamination, blistering, uncoated areas, or uneven coverage
Component failure — Rung detachment, bracket failure, or cage hoop separation under normal use within rated load

Material-Specific Corrosion Warranty

Corrosion warranties cover the stated material’s resistance to corrosion in its specified environment. These warranties do not cover:

Corrosion caused by installation in an environment beyond the material’s specified capability (e.g., HDG installed in a splash zone or submerged, SS304 in heavy chemical exposure)
Damage from improper installation — not per provided installation instructions
Modification or alteration of the ladder after delivery — welding, cutting, drilling, repainting
Damage from impact, overloading beyond rated capacity, or misuse
Normal surface weathering that does not affect structural integrity (HDG dulling, SS surface tea-staining that is cosmetic only)
Wear items — anti-slip rung profile wear from normal use over time
Damage during transport or on-site handling (covered by shipping insurance)

Warranty Claim Process

Notify — Contact us within 48 hours of discovering a potential warranty issue. Provide photos, description, and relevant context.
Assess — Our engineer assesses the claim within 48 hours. We may request additional photos or measurements.
Determine — If the claim is validated as a manufacturing or material defect covered by warranty:
- Replacement parts or full replacement ladder provided at our cost
- Freight for replacement covered by Dengtai
- Rush production if needed for project timeline
If not a warranty issue — We provide a cost quote for replacement parts or repair advice. No obligation.
Dimensional errors (our mistake) — We bear the full replacement cost including freight, without requiring the standard claim process. Immediate action.

Warranty Transferability

The warranty is provided to the original purchaser. Warranty transfer to a subsequent owner is subject to written notification and approval by Dengtai. Contact us to discuss warranty transfer for facility ownership changes.

What is the minimum order quantity for steel ladders?
Standard models: 1 unit. Custom-engineered ladders: 5 units minimum. This is one of the lowest MOQs in the Chinese steel ladder manufacturing industry. Most competitors require 10-20 units.

What payment terms does Dengtai accept?
Standard terms: T/T 30% deposit with 70% balance before shipment. For orders exceeding $10,000, L/C at sight is available. We do not accept D/A or open account terms for first-time buyers.

How long does delivery take?
Standard models ship within 15-20 working days of order confirmation. Custom or bulk orders require 30-45 working days. Ocean freight transit adds 15-35 days depending on destination.

What compliance documentation is provided?
Every order includes: Certificate of Origin (CCPIT-issued), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, material certificates (EN 10204 Type 3.1), weld inspection reports (ISO 5817), coating thickness reports, dimensional conformance report, and Declaration of Conformity. Can I get a sample before placing a bulk order?
Yes. Standard model samples can be shipped for evaluation. Freight cost is borne by the buyer (FedEx/DHL). The sample cost is refunded against your first production order.

What is the warranty on Dengtai ladders?

The Dengtai Procurement Process

When you source steel ladders from Dengtai, the process follows six clear stages:

Stage 1: Inquiry and Specification — Send your requirements (ladder type, height, material, quantity, destination port, applicable standard) to sales@dtsteelladder.com. Our engineering team reviews your specification and returns a line-item quotation within 24 hours.

Stage 2: Engineering Review — Senior Engineer Jouth Zhao reviews technical feasibility. For standard products, we confirm the specification. For custom products, we return CAD drawings for your approval. This stage typically takes 1-3 business days.

Stage 3: Order Confirmation — 30% T/T deposit confirms your order. For orders over $10,000, L/C at sight is available. Production scheduling begins immediately upon deposit receipt.

Stage 4: Production and QC — Standard models: 15-20 working days. Custom/bulk: 30-45 working days. Our five-step QC process runs throughout: (1) raw material certification verification, (2) ISO 5817 weld inspection at each joint, (3) coating thickness measurement per ISO 2808, (4) pre-assembly fit check with bracket matching, (5) VCI + vacuum-sealed packaging inspection.

Stage 5: Pre-Shipment Review — Before shipment, you receive: QC documentation package (material certs, weld reports, coating reports, dimensional conformance), container loading photographs, and the container seal number. Review and approve before we release the shipment.

The warranty excludes: damage from misuse or overloading beyond rated capacity, damage from modification after delivery, and normal wear of sacrificial coatings in rated environments.

Spare Parts Availability: We maintain an inventory of standard components (brackets, cage hoops, rungs) for all current models. Spare parts ship within 5-7 working days. For custom components, we maintain CAD records and can re-manufacture to the original specification within 15-20 working days.
